Boureks (beef rolls)

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients
  • 12 philo sheets
  • Ground beef (lean) - 1 lbs
  • Oil - 2 tbs
  • Eggs - 3
  • Parsley
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Oil for frying
Directions
  1. In a large pan, mix 2 Tbs oil with the salt and pepper. Add the ground beef.
  2. Add 1/2 cup water
  3. Cook on low heat until all the water evaporates.
  4. In a separate pan, scramble the eggs. 
  5. Prepare a sheet of philo, fill it with a table spoon of the round beef and some egg. Roll it like a spring roll.
  6. Prepare all the boureks and then fry them in a pan with oil until golden.
  7. Drain the excess oil from each bourek.
  8. Sprinkle some parsley and serve warm with lemon wedges.
