Tlitli with Chicken (Pasta)

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 cup canned chick-peas
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon tomato puree , concentrate
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic clove , minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ras el hanout spice mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 lb orzo pasta
- 1 chicken stock cube
Directions
- Cut chicken up into 8 individual pieces.
- Brown in a large pan the finely chopped onions, garlic, Ras El Hanout, salt and pepper with olive oil.
- Add 1 cup water & cook for 10 minutes
- Add the chick peas, the tomato puree and the stock cube. Add enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on medium heat for 1.5 hour.
- Hard boil the 4 eggs, then peel & cut into quarters.
- In a bowl, mix the orzo pasta with 1/2 cup water and a drizzle of olive oil. Place in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes. Remove and separate the pasta gently with a little water.
- Put the pasta in a large pan and slowly add the sauce until it is absorbed by the fully cooked pasta. - the pasta should now be moist.
- Place pasta in a large serving dish and top with the chicken pieces, the zucchini and turnips, chick peas and sauce. Decorate with the egg quarters.
