Spinach Boureks

Spinach Boureks

Ingredients
  • 12 philo sheets
  • Spinach - 2 lbs (frozen)
  • Oil - 2 tbs
  • butter
  • Egg - 1
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Bechamel sauce
  • Oil for frying
Directions
  1. Boil the spinach and drain very well.
  2. In a large pan, mix 2 Tbs oil with the salt and butter. Add the spinach.
  3. Cook on medium heat until all the water evaporates.
  4. Prepare a bechamel sauce. Add the egg and the cheese. Mix and add the spinach slowly.
  5. Prepare a sheet of philo, fill it with a table spoon of the mixture. Roll it like a spring roll.
  6. Prepare all the boureks and then fry them in a pan with oil until golden.
  7. Serve warm with lemon wedges.
